OUR HISTORY


How we became the world leaders in drone fishing technology.

Gannet was founded by Jacques Venter.

Jacques is a natural born entrepreneur and life long serial inventor holding numerous successful international patents in industrial engineering and consumer goods.



1982: aged 10 wood carvings



1982: Jacques Venter aged 10 wood carvings. 



1994: design and installation of maintenance platform inside a waist water digester - Namibia



1994: Jacque designed and installed this maintenance platform inside a waist water digester in Namibia.



1994: New - 750 Ton double capstan rail shunting winches installed at Sasol




1994: Jacques Designed the new - 750 Ton double capstan rail shunting winches installed at Sasol. 





1996: 3D modeling & design on Majuba power station ash storage and conditioning plant




1996: Jacques 3D modelled & designed an ash storage and conditioning plant on Majuba power station. 



1997: best industrial design award (Africa) 3D modeling and design on Majuba power station.


1997: Jacques won the best industrial design award (Africa) 3D modeling and design on Majuba power station.


1998: New type electric arc furnace Electrode pressure ring. This one for 1,2m electrodes installed on 2 x 36MVA FeCr smelters

2005: new arc furnace slipping device over 20 international installed projects


2005: Jacques developed a new arc furnace slipping device and oversaw over 20 international installed projects around the world. 


2005: 1,75m arc furnace lower electrode (3 granted international patents)


2005: Jacques developed this 1,75m arc furnace lower electrode three granted international patents where awarded.
